Ideal for medium fax volume, these boards capable of sending and receiving at 14.4 Kb/s. All fax processing is done on-board, eliminating the need to take processing power from the host. The daughterboard has four on-board codecs that perform all A/D and D/A transformations for each associated channel. In addition to the codecs, the daughterboard consists of a field-programmable gate array (FPGA), SC2000 chip, and SC bus connector.
